Jonathan Eyre
Jonathan Eyre (b. 1981), is a native of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Jonathan is well-known as an inspiring and colourful liturgical organist, with a fresh and dynamic approach to choral conducting, piano accompaniment, and theatre organ performance. He is a prize-winning graduate of the University of Sheffield and holds the Fellowship and Choir Directing diplomas from the RCO and Trinity College London.
An active church musician and concert organist, Jonathan regularly performs with a large number of choral groups, including the choir of Royal Holloway University of London. Jonathan is Musical Director of Carshalton Choral Society where he is responsible for a full programme of orchestral choral concerts.
Jonathan was Organist at the Old Royal Naval College Chapel at Trinity Laban Conservatoire; working alongside Dr Ralph Allwood MBE. During his time here, he featured as piano accompanist and conductor of a critically acclaimed CD showcasing the works of Roderick Williams. Jonathan was Assistant Director of Music at Bradford Cathedral for four years, where he recorded a series of CDs of the music of J. S. Bach, and several other solo and choral music discs.
